Each group should be autonomous except in matters affecting other groups or OA as a whole.” This Tradition allows OA meetings to function in a way that best meets their members’ needs while maintaining the integrity of the OA program. 💙 However, if a meeting changes OA’s core message—by modifying the Twelve Steps or incorporating outside influences—it affects more than just the group; it affects OA as a whole. 🌎 Tradition Four reminds us that autonomy must be exercised with responsibility. 🤲
