ESH Newsletter Committee
The Experience Strength & Hope Newsletter committee will be responsible for the following work areas:
The ESH Newsletter Committee is dedicated to the creation of content of an online newsletter – esh.oafootsteps.com. The ESH Newsletter strives to create a body of work that carries the message of recovery to the compulsive overeater in keeping with Overeaters Anonymous’ Newsletter guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
- Observe the 12 Traditions and 12 Concepts of service in all of our efforts.
- Ensure content follows the Traditions and Concepts of Service
- Create quarterly “themed” editions.
- Optionally create monthly general content
- Ensure proper accreditation and disclaimers are maintained.
- Ensure all graphics are original to our website or are clearly designated with the appropriate Creative Common attributions.
- Follow OA Foot Step’s GDPR Policy.
- Invites other OA newsletters to reprint articles without permission, so long as they credit the source and link back to our site.
- May explore promotion through Google and other social media.
- Develop a working relationship with the Digital Committee to afford smooth and efficient maintenance of the ESH Website and make best use of OA Foot Step’s resources.
Guided especially by Traditions Six and Ten, the committee ensures that material is gathered from within the OA Fellowship. Sources of content include but are not limited to:
- Original content received through the Newsletter Submission Form or other means.
- Other Intergroup newsletters.
- OA.ORG
- Notes and minutes from OA Foot Step’s Committees, the Board or Working Groups describing their activities.
Mission Statement: The ESH Committee is In keeping with Overeaters Anonymous’ Newsletter guidelines1 and the Twelve Traditions and Concepts of OA, the Experience, Strength and Hope {ESH} Newsletter Committee is dedicated to the ongoing development of an online newsletter, and the maintenance and development of content as it relates to recovery in OA.
Our primary purpose is to carry the message to the compulsive eater who still suffers.
In Summary, the Experience Strength & Hope Newsletter Committee has the responsibility to:
