May the 14th Be With You!

Writing, as a continuation of prayer on a daily basis, gives me direct access to my Higher Power. I lay out the words before me describing what I am currently experiencing and await a response in the form of inspired thought, which never fails to reveal itself, especially when I am committed to listening for answers beyond my current dilemma.

I am often offered a piece of wisdom I might not have considered previously, or I will be embraced and comforted in ways food never could. This process allows for a kindness within me that is often difficult to demonstrate towards myself. I am so incredibly grateful for the gift of writing, one of the tools of our program. I am reminded, even as I write these words, that this is my path towards sanity and a greater spiritual connection to my Higher Power.
