An OA Prayer
For the Journey Within
God of truth,
You know the storm behind my smile—
the quiet ache, the heavy fear,
the tug-of-war I often hide.
You see the way I seek control,
how I reach for noise when I need stillness,
how I run from pain disguised as pride—
and yet, You stay.
And wait.
And love.
Teach me to breathe through the mess,
to sit with discomfort and not run,
to trust that healing doesn’t always shout,
but often whispers.
Lift the shame that clings too close,
and in its place,
wrap me in grace.
Help me listen when You speak—
through silence, through people,
through ordinary moments.
Remind me that I don’t walk alone.
Not now. Not ever.
And when I forget who I am,
or why I started,
call me back
with Your patient voice,
and the love
that has never let me go.
Amen.
