With gentle acceptance, I realize…
I am the tally of all my acts
All that I have done, all that I am
And all the potential of what I could be.
There isn’t a single incident that defines me
Yet every instance has helped form me,
Creating who I have yet to become,
And who I am today.
In this minute, I am a simple vignette,
A portrait that changes
Day to day, minute to minute,
As I learn to accept
all these facets of myself,
My past, present and future,
As the sum of my whole.
The miracle of who I truly am, emerges.
